UK railway stations on the right track with Zoeftig
Boasting 50 years’ experience in designing and manufacturing first-class seating solutions for the transport sectors, Zoeftig is celebrating continued success throughout the UK following a series of high profile installations.
As a partner of Network Rail, Irish Rail and Scot Rail, Zoeftig is the seating supplier of choice for England and Scotland’s capital cities, along with many high profile cities across the UK.
Zoeftig’s team of experts are dedicated to working closely with each individual client to provide solutions that can easily withstand the demanding requirements of high passenger footfall.
The recent commission by Edinburgh Gateway saw the installation of over 100 Zineare and inFINITE seating solutions as part of the country’s £41m project to connect Edinburgh’s rail and tram networks, as well as offering a convenient link to Edinburgh Airport. The Zineare range was chosen to provide resilient yet low maintenance seating, while the inFINITE range was selected to deliver limitless reconfigurability options to maximise capacity and comfort.
London Marylebone Station, the terminus of the Chiltern Railway route running from Birmingham Snow Hill, is also home to 150 Zenky PU seating solutions. Upholstered in grey, the corporate shade of Chiltern Railways, the seats have been designed to ease congestion throughout the station, whilst simultaneously enhancing customer experience. Zoeftig’s seating solutions can also be found throughout a number of tube and rail stations across London and wider Great Britain.
TransPennine Express selected Zoeftig’s Zineare seating solutions to help enhance the customer experience at six of its train stations. Over 50 Zineare benches were installed at stations in Brough, Dewsbury, Malton, Scunthorpe, Stalybridge and Thornaby.
In February, Zoeftig installed 50 inFINITE PU seating solutions at Leicester Rail Station to provide passengers with a comfortable waiting place in a designated area that is away from the external elements.
Zoeftig’s inFINITE and Zineare seating solutions have been installed throughout Newton-le-Willows station as part of a £19 million investment project. The station selected two contrasting shades of grey and yellow upholstery to complement the station’s interior architecture.
Paul Williams, CEO of Zoeftig, said: “As we celebrate our 50th year in operation, we are delighted to be working with new rail clients across the UK and beyond. From our installation throughout Dubai Metro’s 50 stations, to Canberra Station in Australia, we are committed to superseding each client’s individual requirements. We look forward to completing future installations and forming partnerships with new and existing clients as we work together to provide passengers with exceptional waiting areas.”
