Ministry of Justice, Christchurch, New Zealand

When New Zealand’s Ministry of Justice recently moved to a brand new development in the city of Christchurch, Zoeftig was selected as the seating provider of choice for the building’s expansive waiting areas.

The Justice Building is one of three separate buildings that comprises the $300 million Justice and Emergency Services Precinct, accommodating courts, the Ministry of Justice, Department of Corrections and emergency services.

The project’s architects, Warren and Mahoney, had previously worked with Zoeftig in 2015 as part of the re-development of Auckland Airport. The experience ensured Zoeftig was the only choice when it came to choosing a seating provider that would be able to meet the high standards of the Justice Building fit-out.

More than 200 units of Zoeftig’s Zenky Plus PU seats were installed throughout the building over a two-week period in September 2017. The seats were chosen based on their unparalleled levels of comfort and style, using soft upholstery and high backrests to ensure even long waiting times are made comfortable. Finished in clean black upholstery with stainless steel, the sleek and streamlined appearance reflects the modernity and innovation of the building as a whole.

Paul Williams, CEO of Zoeftig Group, said: “We pride ourselves on our reputation for delivering the highest-quality solutions to suit the unique needs of any waiting area. The Justice Building development required comfortable seating that was in keeping with the streamlined, modern concept of the whole development, so the Zoeftig Zenky Plus option was therefore the obvious choice. The fact that we were selected for the project based on our previous work with the architects is testament to our unique approach to listening to the bespoke requirements of each project and delivering a solution that meets them with ease.”
