Carlisle Lake District Airport takes to the skies with Zoeftig
July 2019 marked a significant milestone for Carlisle Lake District Airport as it relaunched its passenger flights for the first time in 25 years.
Located six miles from the city of Carlisle, Cumbria, the airport now operates 28 passenger flights a week, providing direct connections to Belfast International Airport, Dublin Airport and London Southend Airport.
To handle the increased footfall, the airport has opened a designated terminal for passenger flights, with Zoeftig’s Zenky seating solutions specified to provide the highest standards in comfort and durability. Upholstered in black PVC, the stylish seating solutions create a premium waiting room experience for passengers.
Zoeftig’s Zenky seating solution has been at the core of its business for over 25 years, securing the company’s reputation as an aviation seating market leader. The Zenky design originated from Zoeftig’s unique Zoe Stool, which was first purchased by the British Airports Authority (BAA) and is now specified in airport terminals across the world.
Paul Williams, CEO of Zoeftig, said: “We are delighted to have partnered with Carlisle Lake District Airport to provide our first class Zenky seating solutions for its latest passenger terminal. We wish the airport all the best with this new chapter as the first commercial airport to open in Britain for 14 years and look forward to a long lasting relationship.”
