A Brief History of Zoeftig
Zoeftig was started in 1969 by Alan Zoeftig and Mick Carter in Alan’s home in West Norwood. Alan, a design teacher and Mick, a bus driver both held down jobs to pay the rent and develop some of the products that we are still selling today. In 1976 the Company relocated to The Old School House in Jacobstow, Cornwall. In 1982 the business was moved to the Bude site where it remains today.
In 2004, Mick and Alan decided that it was time to take a well earned rest and sold the Company to Paul and Mandy Williams. Since then, Paul and Mandy have taken the business forward, creating a dedicated Sales team, and radically growing the Company’s turnover.
Now with major installations of our products in all continents, Zoeftig has evolved into a design-led, market driven business with a strong focus on quality and innovation. In the past few years, we have won several awards for our work in export, design, innovation and knowledge transfer. We are serious about our environmental & corporate social responsibilities, and in 2009 we achieved ISO 14001 environmental management accreditation, to go with our already established ISO 9001 certification.
During 2010 & 2011 we also established our formal Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.
As well as our UK Head Office, Zoeftig now has bases in North America & UAE, and further representation globally.
